Setting Up Atheros AR5BXB63 on Ubuntu 8.04

I have Atheros AR5BXB63 chipset for my wireless card in my Laptop, when i install Ubuntu 8.04, there was problem to detect my wireless card.
I have done the following and it works now:

1. Install the ndisgtk program from the package Synaptic Package Manager


2. Download Windows XP atheros driver in here.


3. Make a folder in documents file, (I named it Wireless driver).


4. Move the downloaded .zip file from desktop to the new wireless folder.


5. Right click on the .zip file, (and choose extra here).


6. Go to System>Administration>Windows Wireless Drivers, (NDISWRAPPER will open now, (after password is given)).


7. Choose Install Driver.


8. Goto location line, click on the right folder tab and browse to:
   Document>Wireless driver>Wireless_Atheros_XP32_XP64_WHQL_(5.3.0.45_l ogo)>XP32_XP64_WHQL_5-3-0-45_(Negative-Pole)70510>net5211.inf


9. Choose to install.


10. The driver should now appear in the list on the left.


11. Select the driver, (Left click to highlight), and choose the close button.


12. Reboot.


13. Choose the network manager on the tool bar.


14. Select a wireless network.


15. Done. Now I can use my Wireless Card on Ubuntu 8.04

All actions to be done in Linux.
None of all action to be done in windows.

Hello,
I got the same wireless Atheros AR5BXB63 chipset card on my compaq presario laptop. For now I am tring to install it for fedora. I am confus about your 15 steps above. Could Please clearify which of the above actions to be done within windows and which within linux.
